LEASE AWARD FOR THE NEW MAYAGUEZ OUTPATIENT CLINIC

Mayaguez, Puerto Rico -The VA Caribbean Healthcare System is pleased to announce that the lease for the New Mayaguez Outpatient Clinic was awarded.  The one (1) story building will be constructed on 8.12 acres of land in accordance with VA specifications and the City of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico requirements.

The new state-of- the-art facility will be located at the Intersection of Algarroba Avenue and PR-2KM 149.9 in the Sabaneras Ward of the municipality of Mayaguez. The new Out Patient Clinic will have an additional 30,000 square feet in comparison with our current facility; this will improve space requirements for all clinical services to include Patient Care Aligned Team (PACT), Home Based Primary Care, Urology and others.

The facility is scheduled to be ready for operations by the end of 2013
