VA Caribbean Healthcare System
News Release: “Pavers Repair Work” at VA Caribbean Healthcare System San Juan Medical Center
August 10, 2018
Major Project Impact Announcement:
Pardon the inconvenience of the current facilities.
Starting Monday afternoon on August 13, 2018, Walsh Contractor will close temporarily the walkway in front of the Administrative Building near the main entrance to perform necessary paver repair work.
The construction taking place will involve the demolition of pavers to undercut and backfill the area where a concrete slab will be placed. The work will last 2-3 weeks.
Barriers will be put in place to detour pedestrian traffic before the Gate #2 guardhouse into the Parking Garage (see the drawing below). Patients and visitors can use the Parking Garage elevator to access
the 3rd floor that leads into the temporary pedestrian walkway adjacent to the ongoing Canopy Project into the Main Entrance.
